Common questions
What does ShopAccess scan?
ShopAccess loads your pages in a real browser and checks them for common accessibility issues, like missing image descriptions, text that is hard to read, form fields without labels, and links or buttons without names. On Shopify, it scans your home page, published pages, collections, and products. Your plan sets how many pages: 10 on Free, 25 on Starter, and 200 on Pro.
How often does it scan?
You can run a scan whenever you like. On Starter and Pro, ShopAccess also rescans every Monday morning and emails you a summary of what changed: your old and new score, new issues, and issues you fixed.
What does the score mean?
Each page starts at 100 and loses points for each issue found, with higher priority issues costing more. Your overall score is the average of your page scores. It is a measure of the issues an automated scan can find, not a review or approval of your site. Automated scans catch many common issues but not all of them, so testing with real people is still worth doing.
My Shopify store is password protected. Can ShopAccess scan it?
Yes, when you run the scan yourself. ShopAccess asks for your storefront password and uses it for that one scan only. It never saves the password, so weekly rescans skip a protected store and email you a reminder to open ShopAccess and scan it.
How do I cancel?
In ShopAccess inside your Shopify admin, open Manage plan at the top of the page and choose Cancel plan. Your store goes back to the Free plan right away. Uninstalling ShopAccess also ends your plan. On the ShopAccess website, cancel from your account page.
