Terms of use
Last updated September 29, 2026
These terms cover the ShopAccess website and ShopAccess for Shopify, the app merchants install from their Shopify admin.
What ShopAccess is
ShopAccess is an automated tool. It loads the pages of a website, looks for common accessibility issues, and explains how to fix them in plain English.
What your results mean
Your score and results are a measure of the issues our scanner found on the pages it could reach. They are not legal advice. They are not a review, audit, or approval of your website by a person.
Automated scans cannot find every issue. Some problems can only be found by people, including people who use assistive technology. We may not catch every issue on your site, and a high score does not mean your site has no problems.
Using ShopAccess
- Only scan websites you own or have permission to scan.
- Do not use ShopAccess to overload, attack, or get around the security of any website.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
Plans and payments
Paid plans renew every month until you cancel. You can cancel or change your plan at any time from your account page, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are handled by Stripe.
ShopAccess for Shopify
By installing ShopAccess on your Shopify store you also agree to these terms. You must be allowed to install apps on the store.
- ShopAccess scans your store's own pages, products, and collections. It only reads your store and never changes it.
- Starter and Pro plans are charged by Shopify, every 30 days, on your Shopify bill, after a 7 day free trial. Shopify asks you to approve each plan first. You can change or cancel your plan any time in Manage plan inside the app. Cancelling moves you to the Free plan right away.
- If your store is password protected, you give ShopAccess the storefront password for each scan you run. It is not saved.
- Uninstalling ends your plan. ShopAccess deletes your store's data 48 hours after you uninstall, as described on the privacy page.
Shopify's own terms still apply to your store. ShopAccess is not made by Shopify.
Accessibility statements
The statement generator writes text based on your answers. You are responsible for making sure what it says about your business is true before you publish it.
Changes and ending your account
We may update ShopAccess and these terms. If we make a big change, we will tell you by email. You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may close accounts that break these terms.
